Grand Villa team member makes significant impact on residents dealing with memory change.
Our very own Linda Sines, Activities Director, is making a notable impact on the lives of our residents, while inspiring other staff to do the same! She is one of the many Bethesda Senior Living care givers training in Teepa Snow's POSITIVE APPROACH™ - a progressive therapy for helping seniors and their families recognize and manage the early signs of memory change.
"I have been at Grand Villa for 15 years. The first 6 ½ years I served as the beautician at the community. In addition, I volunteered in various capacities. After working and volunteering here part-time for so many years, I accepted the Activities Director position in 2008. I've loved doing it ever since.
I get to spend so much more time with our residents, which I treasure. The feeling it gives you when you provide something that they've never had the chance to do is amazing. It brings joy to my heart to be the one to keep them active and busy in their latter part of life. It’s all so priceless!
While I’m not at work I am a very family-oriented person. I have a great husband of 37 years, 2 beautiful daughters, a son-in-law, and an 8-year-old granddaughter who is the love of my life. I enjoy being with my family, traveling, camping, four wheeling, the outdoors, and working in my yard. I have been truly blessed by our residents!"
